I booked a flight on Austrian Airlines through Webjet Exchange Team online.

I had used one part of the ticket, I got sick and was admitted to the hospital in Amman, I called and sent an email to both Webjet Exchange Team and Austrian Airline,  Webjet asked me to email the doctor’s reports to their office and I should be fine.

I did send them all the medical records I have and this is what I got,

Weblet send me this message on December 6th 2011 late afternoon in New York time “Amman, Jordan time after midnight of Dec.6th it was already December 7th of 2011. And I had to pay  $350 penalty!!!! This is their message “Austrian Airlines has approved the waiver for reissue of the ticket. The will be a change of $350.00 for the change. Please confirm the new travel date of Dec 6th:” OS 854 W 06DEC  AMM-VIE    355P- 700P                   OS 087 W 07DEC  VIE-JFK    1030A- 205P”

since that date, i sent email to webjet asking them to change the date and waive the $350 penalty but up to this date i never heard of Webjet or Austrian Airline.

I have tried to resolve my issue through Webjet Exchange but it seems they are not able to do so, I have been trying to reach Austrian Airline Customer Service by email, letters, and faxes but I received no answer, I called them and I was advised to contact them through their contact form on their website.

All I need is a return ticket to the US from Amman Jordan to New York or Newark Airport NJ

WEBJET EXCHANGE TEAM AND AUSTRIAN AIRLINES RIPOFF CUSTOMERS

Her is the Story of Webjet Exchange Team-Webjet Marketing North America LLC and Austrian Airlines

These emails prove their lies and deceiving customers

They have asked me for medical records and I submitted all of them.

This is their answer-Thank you for sending the documentation. We have submitted the documents to Austrian Airlines to request they provide us with a waiver to allow us to book your return flights from Amman to JFK without regards to the maximum stay restriction on your ticket. Please allow several days for them to advise us of their decision. Once we receive a response, we will forward the information to you.

Best Regards,

Webjet Exchange Team

I have submitted a complaint to the Austrian Airlines as I was advised by the Webjet team

I got the following answer
Dear Mr. Abuhouran,

Thank you for your correspondence.  We are sorry to learn of the circumstances that prompted you to write to us. Nothing is worse than losing the confidence of a valued customer; thus we sincerely regret learning of your disappointment with the service you received.  Although the purpose for your contacting Austrian Airlines is less than positive, we do appreciate your taking the time to notify us of your concerns.

We can certainly understand your frustration under the circumstance.  Fares offered for purchase via travel agencies are amongst our most deeply discounted and therefore carry very restrictive rules and conditions. Any change or adjustment of the ticket can only be done through the original travel agency. In the case of special fares, it is necessary to contact the Travel Agency that issued the ticket for all conditions associated with the fare (ie maximum validity, change fees or refunds). We apologize for any misinformation you may have received.

Mr. Abuhouran, while we understand this may not be the reply you were anticipating we nonetheless are certain you will understand Austrian Airlines’ position in this matter.

Sincerely,

Sabina Wills

I have been sending letters and complaints to Webjet since I received this email but I never heard from them again!! It seems they are playing a game, The Austrian Airlines telling me that Webjet has to take care of the problem, we bought the ticket from Webjet, not the Austrian Airlines!!
